Children’s Pastor, Calais, Maine

Common Ground Church of God in Calais, Maine is seeking a Children's Pastor. The primary purpose of the Children's Pastor is to introduce kids to Jesus Christ; to disciple them in their spiritual growth; to teach them to be dedicated servants of Christ; to coordinate an overall children's curriculum plan for the kids of the church for  balanced comprehensive Christian instruction; create and implement an overall youth evangelism strategy for the church; to get involved in the lives of our children supporting them in all their endeavors; and coordinate ministry opportunities for the children of the church teaching them to take an active part in the total ministry of the church.

Service Relationships: The Children's Pastor is under the direction of the Lead pastor. The Children's Pastor will work with the pastor and the rest of the staff evaluating the ministries of the church, as well as the churches ministry needs. The Children's Pastors duties may be modified at any time to meet the needs of our growing church.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• Must be a born again believer with a maturing relationship with Christ.
• Must be a member of the Church of God (Cleve. TN)
• Must show a faithful pursuit of leadership characteristics as listed in 1Tim.3.
• Must have a strong desire to serve God in the position.
• Experience preferred, but not mandatory, in an established successful children's program.
• Must demonstrate a genuine love and maintain a good rapport with children.
• Must be sensitive to the needs and of children with a knowledge of possible solutions.
• Must be able to teach, train, and disciple children's workers.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the Bible which is essential to the teaching and training of our kids.
• Must subscribe to the Declaration of Faith of the Church of God, as well maintaining  a life in agreement to the Practical Commitments of the Church of God.
• Must be in good physical and mental health.
• Must be able to exercise initiative and judgment as an independent worker.
• Must possess organizational and administration abilities.
• Must be flexible, and easy to get along with.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Because we are a bordertown with St. Stephen, New Brunswick Canada, Canadians can live in St. Stephen, and work in Calais on an R1 Visa which we will petition for you.
