International Executive Council

The International Executive Council is a body of 18 ministers elected from within the ranks of Ordained Presbyters of the Church of God. They serve with the International Executive Committee to establish polity and direct the ministries of the Church. Members are elected for two year terms and may be elected to two consecutive terms.

The 2006-2008 International Executive Council consists of the following men, listed in order of their election and where they presently serve in ministry:

  • Mark L. Williams, state overseer, California/Nevada
  • Mitch Maloney, pastor, North Cleveland Church of God
  • John D. Childers, state overseer, Northern Ohio
  • David Griffis, state overseer, Tennessee
  • Ishmael Charles, overseer, Virgin Islands
  • Larry J. Timmerman, state overseer, Alabama
  • Jerry Chitwood, state overseer, Western North Carolina
  • Gerald McGinnis, pastor, Park West Church, Knoxville, Tenn.
  • Jim Bolin, pastor, Trinity Chapel, Powder Springs, Ga.
